Ellie and Jon's wedding took place at the Sandy Cove Hotel in North Devon, a hidden gem nestled along the rugged coastline.

From the moment I arrived, I could feel the anticipation and excitement in the air. Ellie and her girls got ready in the bridal suite, laughter filling the room. Meanwhile, Jon and his best man made their final preparations on the hotel terrace, exchanging nervous glances and sharing a few light-hearted jokes to ease the tension.

Despite the clouds that loomed overhead, Ellie and Jon's determination to have their dream outdoor ceremony never wavered. And oh, how it paid off! Surrounded by their loved ones and with the most stunning coastal backdrop, Ellie and Jon exchanged vows, their voices filled with emotion and promises for a lifetime together.

What truly made this wedding stand out was its emphasis on family. It was a celebration of love that went beyond the bride and groom, extending to their loved ones who surrounded them with support and affection. The love between Ellie and Jon was mirrored by the love that radiated from their families, creating an atmosphere that was palpable and heart-warming.

Amidst the joy and laughter, we stole away for a moment to capture their couple portraits on Newberry Beach. Ellie and Jon were so relaxed and comfortable, walking along the sand and rocks, taking in the view of the bay. And it was so romantic when they had their own private sparkler moment for two - it was like something out of a fairytale!

Back at the venue, the party really got started. Friends and family gathered around, laughter and music filling the air. One of the highlights was the outdoor firepit, where they had a s'mores station. It was a cosy and fun way to enjoy the evening and create lasting memories with their loved ones.

I have to say, the Sandy Cove Hotel is one of my favourite wedding venues in Devon. With its breath-taking views and timeless charm and attentive staff, it really lent itself to that relaxed and natural feel that Ellie and Jon wanted for their special day

As I reflect on Ellie and Jon's wedding day, I am reminded of why I chose to specialise in relaxed and natural wedding photography. It is not just about capturing the perfect shot or the grandest moments. It is about telling a story, conveying the genuine emotions and connections that make each wedding unique. It is about capturing the moments that make you smile, laugh, and cry all at once. So thank you, Ellie and Jon, for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day and capture the essence of your love.
